Hi Rosie,

Please accept my warmest hugs. Your parents were wonderful people who showed love to everyone.  They were parents and role models to many. I am so sorry for your loss.

My grandparents were an inspiration to our entire family. I was fortunate to be the first grandchild to Tata and Grandma. I loved the times we had together. My grandparents spoiled us with their own way of showing us love. They are the true definition of the word LOVE. The love they had for each other, a lifetime spent together (63 years) is amazing. One could only hope  that you would find  a love match as theirs.  I miss you both so much. It broke my heart to see you both go however I am happy you two went together, as it should be. I know you would want me to be strong and I am trying but I can't say it is easy. The day God called you home, I lost my parents all over again. I love you and I know you will continue to watch us from above. I love and miss you both!!

Rosie my deepest condolences to you and your entire family in the loss of 2 beautiful people. They will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved them. 



Johnny was our oldest half brother raised his brothers and sisters by our father and my mother, Gertrude Hanks Leivas, up until his demise.  I guess my memories of him basically began after he and Sara got married and often visited Mother.  He and Sara had alot of respect for her and she for them.  Josephine & Corny were also close to Mother and visited often,  I knew the rest, but never really got close as we were to Johnny, Josephine and their spouses.  Our oldest sister, Mary, knew them very well as she spent alot of summers with them.  It was funny,  I remember mentioning Mary to Johnny & Sara and both looked puzzled, they never knew her real name.  They knew her by "Petunia" and never called her anything else.  My sister, Mary would have been devastated by their deaths had she survived.   To all you surviving family members:  Please accept our condolences from myself and sons, Irene & children, June & Julie, Matthew Leivas, Sr. & family.   Take care and be safe.
