

Pacen Lain Scogin was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. Pacen will be remembered as a very exceptional person. Pacen was born on March 22, 2000 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was the son of Tara Thompson & Matt Scogin. Pacen grew up in Parker, AZ, Beaverton, OR and South Louisiana. Pacen was raised with two siblings Michael Chance and Abbygail Christine. Pacen was an active child who enjoyed riding dirt bikes and jet skis. He was a member of 4-H. In his spare time he liked fishing and hunting. He graduated from Parker High School in 2018. His favorite class in high school was math and science. The coaches he enjoyed the most was wrestling Coach Howard, football coaches Lotts, Carlson, Wheatley & Golding. He made principal honors roll every semester & placed 3rd in state for wrestling. Pacen was also a member of the homecoming court. Always considered a good friend to those he knew Pacen became friends with many people during his lifetime. Pacen enjoyed what he did for a living. His primary occupation was construction. Pacens favorite hobbies were wood working & video games (Call of Duty and Fortnite). Pacen found pleasure in sports. In high school, Pacen played football, basketball and wrestled. He represented the U.S. down under sports wrestling in Australia. Pacen was a fighter in Mixed Blood Martial Arts under coaches Hulana Reyes and Danny Crayton. Pacen’s faith was important to him. He was a Christian. During that time, he was a member of Beaverton 4 square church camp. Pacen passed away on June 11, 2020 in Parker, AZ. He is survived by mother Tara Thompson, father Matt Scogin & step father Dino Gory. Brother Michael Chance & Sister Abbygail Christine. Sister in law Karla & nephew William Scogin. Girlfriend Taylor Anderson. Aunts Lori Scogin & Kayla Hucklebridge. Grandparent’s Mike & Vera Scogin, Nancy Thompson, Perry Minas & Wendy Thompson. Great grandparents Dixie Thompson & Margreta Klassen. Great aunts Cathleen Walker, Mac Pherson, Melissa Bundy & Watson. Great uncle Rick Calhoun & many more family & friends. Simply stated, Pacen was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family & friends as being a caring & giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Pacen leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Pacen Lain Scogin.
