Raised in Alloway, New Jersey, Patrick was an avid athlete, playing both football and baseball at Woodstown High School, and continuing with baseball at Rider University. He was also a talented tuba player, but after college his musical interests turned to playing guitar and singing. This passion became his livelihood. After several years of playing gigs in New Jersey and around the Philadelphia area, Patrick became an international performer, playing regularly in St. Moritz in Switzerland, Copenhagen in Denmark, and on cruise ships in the Baltic Sea. Patrick often played fun and upbeat music, aiming to always send his audiences home feeling uplifted.
In 2020, when pandemic closures affected his usual playing venues, Patrick returned to the United States and entered the van life, living in a box truck he transformed into a solar-paneled home on wheels with the help of his family. He stayed primarily in Arizona, creating occasional musical video performances, such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVza-psWbSg. He spent one summer living at the southern rim of the Grand Canyon.
Patrick was the son of the late Edwin Hallanan of Pennsville NJ, and the late Tekla Hallanan of Lambertville NJ. He is survived by: his sister Tekla Nicholas of Coral Springs FL and her husband Robert Nicholas; his sister Sharon Hallanan of Lambertville NJ and her daughter Jeanna Korzun; his sister Marian Wilson of Careywood ID and her husband John Wilson; and his brother Edwin Hallanan of Laurel DE and his wife Laura Hallanan.
