Shirley was a great friend of mine as we shared our research of history with each other. I would send her articles that I had written each month for her purview and she always responded with a thank you and welcomed comment. I am in shock by finding about her passing. She will be missed by me endearingly.

We had the pleasure of meeting Shirley and Joe during her diligent family history search.  Shirley was a great woman who welcomed everyone with open arms and love.  Her love for animals was unmatched as was it for her family.  She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Love and prayers for comfort and peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  May your  memories of her be comforting and bring peace.  I am so thankful to have known Shirley.  She inspired me with her love and care for animals, her writing talent and her very kind, humble nature.  She was such a comfort to me when our mutual friend Susan passed away a few years ago and helped me through that hard time.   And her welcoming our dog Alvin into her home meant a great deal to me and Alvin.    I will always remember her.
