Carol Lucille McCune

She was born May 2, 1932, in Spencer, WV a daughter to the late Robert and Velva Harper. She was an assembly operator at FMC from where she retired and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who looked out for everyone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, O.R. McCune, son, Gary McCune, and daughter, Patricia McCune, brothers, Glen Harper, and Danny Harper, and sister, Patsy Darden.

She is survived by her children, Jackie O’Brien (Tom) of Richmond, VA, Carolyn Dunbar (Terry) of Rockport, Connie Smith (Michael) of Washington, Lisa Dunbar of Belpre, OH, Lorenza McCune of Parkersburg, and Donna Vincent (Tim) of Vincent, OH, six brothers, six sisters, seventeen grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Heartland Nursing Home, Marietta and Dr. Hill for their care.

Service will be Thur., January 31, 2013, 3:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Ed Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Wed., January 30, 2013, from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.

The family will be accepting flowers and memorial contributions in Mrs. McCune’s honor may be made to the funeral home.
