He was born May 2, 1937, in Wood Co., a son to the late Charles and Bertha Burk. He was a contractor, enjoyed woodworking, was a member of the Homebuilders Association, and a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Roberta, and brother, Walt Burk.
He is survived by his son, Michael Burk, granddaughter, Kira Burk, great grandson, Eliahu Burk, brothers, Tom Burk (Alice) and Joe Burk (Judy), sister in law, Cookie Burk, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family, and his beloved dog, Sparky.
Service will be Saturday, May 11, 2013, 11 am, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2013, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
