She was born August 2, 1950 in East Liverpool, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carol George Miller and Reba “Helen” Nida Miller.
Debbie was a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who embodied those qualities to the fullest. She had a heart of gold for the Lord and her family. She was a devout Christian attending Little Hocking Evangelical Church. She retired in 2023 as a Family Service Counselor from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Mausoleums after 20 years of service. She devoted her career to assist families in selecting their final arrangements, offering compassionate guidance through a deeply personal decision. Her personal philosophy was that every family is important and deserves the very best. This belief carried over from her personal life to her service to the families at the cemetery. Many in the industry, refer to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home as “the house that Debbie built.” She was always the hardest worker in the room. When she wasn’t working, she could be found proudly supporting her grandchildren at their events. She was a fabulous cook, who enjoyed baking, especially her famous pumpkin roll. Other hobbies she enjoyed were working crossword puzzles. Above all else, she loved and cherished time spent with her family. Debbie made a positive impact on everyone who was fortunate to know her. Always willing to give a hand, listening ear or shoulder to lean on. She lived life with her heart on her sleeve, and never hesitated to speak her mind. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. To know Debbie was to love her and there are truly no words to describe how deeply she will be missed.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her childhood sweetheart whom she reconnected with and married, the love of her life, Chuck Taitt; loving sons, Marc McComas, Kenn McComas, Bret (Jodi) McComas; sister, Emily “Susie” Greathouse; brother, G. Dana (Robin) Miller; grandchildren, Miriah, Kevin, Aislinn, Holden, Sophia, Camila; great-grandchildren, Tala, Taleaya, Ashoka and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
