Joshua James Kerns

Joshua J. Kerns, age 33, of Washington, West Virginia, entered into rest November 20, 2017 in Washington, West Virginia. Joshua was born July 27, 1984 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Ronald J. Kerns and Fefe Byrd Gordon. He graduated from Parkersburg South High School.

He was a member of the Roofers Union 242 working at Tri State Roofing. His family was the most important part of his life. He was also a member of the NRA, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and his family, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Joshua will be deeply missed by his wife, Chasity Kerns; sons; Riley M., Tyler J., and Briar J. Kerns, all of the home. He is survived by his father Ronald J. Kerns (Sandra) and mother Fefe Byrd Gordon (Jeffrey), brothers; Steven (Jackee), Michael (Kristen), David, Logan and Alan Kerns, and John Canterbury, brother-in-law A.J. Nelson (Lydia), and sister in law

Whitney Nelson, all of Parkersburg, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Also surviving are his mother and father in law, Allen & Emily Nelson who were like parents to him. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
