Lucretia Ann Welch

She was born on August 23, 1945 to the late Bernard and Alice Byers.

Lucretia was a Christian by faith, she attended many churches throughout her life.

She worked in the deli at Big Bear for many years. After the closing of Big Bear, she enjoyed spending her time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her biggest enjoyment came from playing bingo and gambling, especially the scratch off tickets.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda (Marvin) Robinson, her sons:Thomas Welch, Micheal "Scott" (Tammy) Welch, Larry Welch, grand daughter, Cheyenne Welch, who she raised and lived with her for many years,her brother, Bernard Byers, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lucretia was proceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Welch, siblings, Harry Byers, Patricia Uhl, Janet Dailey and Keiwana "Teedee" Byers.

Funeral Services will be held February 3, 2025 at 1:00pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Pastor Larry Dale will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Parkersburg. Visitation will be February 3, 2025 at the funeral home at 11am until the time of the service at 1pm.
