

She was born April 30, 1923 in LeRoy, WV a daughter to the late James and Alice Hersman Taylor. She was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church of Chesterville Road, Mineral Wells. She retired from Sylvania former Union Insulator, and she loved to hunt, fish, travel, bake pies, feed her birds, eat tomatoes, and sew. Most of all she loved her family, each and every one in different ways, but always brought them together.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. Deem, brothers, Bryce Hersman Taylor, James Stanley Taylor, and sisters, Cleo Smith Caltrider, and Nellie Alice Life.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Deem Boise of Mineral Wells, James Willard Deem of Mineral Wells, Lynda Deem Lowe of Parkersburg, a nephew that she raised as a son, David Lee Taylor, sister Naomi Ann Seacrist of Texas, brother, William Adrian Taylor of Cottageville, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was blessed to have a longtime friend of more than 60 years Frankie Lee Burton, that she travelled the United States with, a very special friend Guy R. Smith, and her spiritual friends of more than 60 years were Pastor Robert and Dolly Holland.
Service will be Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, 11 am, at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Roger Parsons, and Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
