She was born December 24, 1927 in Lumberport, West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Marion E.(Bud) Hays and one son David E. (Christy) Hays of Clayton, NC. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Larry Hardman, Jason Hardman, Jeremy Eckhart, Jami Eckhart, Jennifer Nix and Amanda Newport. In addition, she leaves behind many great grandchildren.
Mary was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Vienna, West Virginia. She graduated from Mannington High School in 1946, and went on to become a registered nurse by graduating from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing of West Virginia in 1949, located in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Belle Coffield, her father Justin Earl Coffield, and daughter Karen M. Watson.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 25th, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, April 24th at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
