Thomas D. Brace, 81, of Parkersburg, WV passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 at Genesis Memory Care Unit in Sistersville. He was born April 17, 1944 in St Albans, WV a son of the late Fred Brace and Orpha Toney Brace.
Tom was a hard worker and spent most of his employment at Kardex as a senior buyer until he retired in 2006. Even in retirement, he occupied his time working as a toll booth operator at the Memorial Bridge. Tom was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing with his friends.
He leaves behind a wife of 37 years, Mary Jo Brace; stepsons, Lance Gordon and Scott (Melissa) Gordon of Parkersburg, stepdaughter Heather (Brian)Tanner of Williamstown; and several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers, Robert Brace and Chuck Brace.
A private inurnment and graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens later.
