Carol Susan Devoy

Carol Susan Devoy (nee Elliott) passed away peacefully at the Nanaimo Regional General hospital on August 29, 2026.

She will be forever remembered by her two younger sisters Janice and Marie Elliott. Carol shaped their lives in uncountable ways and she will be deeply missed by both of them. The laughs the three sisters had whenever they were together will always be remembered with a smile - not to mention her feistiness and tenacity.

She was pre-deceased by her partner Ron Pedersen. Her brother-in-law Randy Wareham, her niece Lindsay Wareham (Jamie Fougere) and nephew Scott Wareham (Caitlin Iwasienko) along with her great niece Ruby Fougere, great nephew Elliott Fougere and sister-in-law Erin Kreeger will miss her.

Carol, born and raised in Manitoba, lived for the past 50 plus years in Qualicum Beach and Parksville. She was a dedicated staff member of the Royal Bank for many of those years. Post retirement she became an active member of the Legion volunteering countless hours. One of her gifts (and loves) was her financial acumen as the audit committee of the Legion will remember. She leaves behind many friends there and her smile will be missed.

The family is especially grateful for the special care she was given by the Palliative care staff for the final days. Donations to lung cancer research, should you desire, would be appreciated.
