Cyril will be dearly missed by all. He will be especially missed by his life long friend - his brother by heart Billy Ginger whom he met while attending residential school, as well as the many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins and extended family that were dear to him.
Cyril enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting and was well known to always have chumus on hand when you visit him. Each year you could count on him making a trip to the Okanagan to pick up fruit for canning which was another favorite past time of his. He offered his advice to those who asked (and sometimes didn’t) with kindness and patience – but said it how it was – to the point, “let’s not beat around the bush” you would hear him say. He did enjoy a good argument! He had nicknames for many, but when he called you “Girl” or “Nephew” you felt pretty special to him.
No funeral by request.
Cyril’s request was to invite you to a celebration of life on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Hupacasath House of Gathering to share a meal.
