

He was predeceased by his parents Reginald Gordon Robar and Mildred Irene Robar; his brothers, Gordon and Raymond Robar. David is survived by his loving partner, Barbara Roberts; brother, Gerald Robar and family of Ontario; sister, Dianne Whynot and family of Nova Scotia; step children, Nicole Roberts and family of Comox, and Toby Roberts and family of Port Alice, BC.
Dave worked in the pulp and paper industry for 40 years and ended his career as a supervisor in the finishing room. He enjoyed working with his fellow employees and was a fair, honest, and trusting boss. Dave was a family man who was supportive, generous, and kind. He liked to buy lottery tickets in hopes of winning the “BIG ONE!”
In later life when he was having more health problems, he enjoyed his dog Teddi and had a great friendship with her. The Roberts / Robar families would like to thank you for your love and support. He will be greatly missed by Barb who appreciated his love, support, generosity, and kindness. He will be missed by friends and family and very much by Teddi.
In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, please feel free to share stories, photographs, or condolences in remembrance of him. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dave’s memory to the Diabetic Society, CNIB, Lions Club, Cancer Society, or Heart & Stroke Fund .
