Donna is cherished and forever loved, by her husband, life partner, & best friend of 58 years, Wendell Clark, and daughters Karyn & Unity, and her beloved son-in-law, Isaac.
Donna was an avid gardener and plant whisperer and had a deep and profound love for nature. She loved to watch & talk about the birds and squirrels and noticed the most refined details of the natural world. She was a wonderful, powerful mother & wife & friend who cared deeply for her family. She prepared the most delicious meals, & created such a beautiful home, together with Wendell, that always felt perfect & pristine when wi entered. Mom loved reading books, and had an astute awareness of current events and human affairs. She had a unique perspective on life that allowed her to understand the complexities of the human condition, express deep compassion, while simultaneously reminding us all to ‘get it together’, never take life too seriously & always remember to look for the humor in things. She raised her daughters to be strong, loving & independent,” & ‘think for ourselves’. She inspired us to march to the beat of our own drum, be comfortable in our own skin, & enjoy our own company. She always dressed stylishly when going out & held herself with grace & an inner peace & strength that always kept her going.
Mom & Dad were very close & spent all of their time together. They had a continual kind of ‘comic shtick’ flowing between them in their dialogue & always took such loving care of each other. They took great pride in their garden & home, & loved gardening together, barbecuing & eating out on the deck in the summers. They loved nature and planted many, many baby trees in the garden that they collected in the forest as seedlings to bring home to plant & nurture into forests.
Donna remains ever present in our hearts, and lives on in our memories, leaving a sense of deep gratitude and appreciation for all she brought to our lives and the world!
Donna’s family would like to thank the staff who cared for her in her final days.
We welcome the sharing of all fond & funny memories of mom to be shared on this page in celebration of the life of our beautiful Donna Mae Clark.
So much love and appreciation!
