Douglas "Doug" Kerr

The family is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our dad and brother. He leaves behind his daughter Brianna (Gareth); sons, Brenden (Jordanna), Greggory and Mitchell (Deanna); sisters, Joyce (Keith) and Lorraine; brothers, John (Oreal) and Bob (Cindy); grandchildren, Mila (Brianna & Gareth) and Bentley and Mihkel (Greggory) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doug was a kind and loving man, always willing to lend a hand if needed. Doug loved to travel and was always looking for his next adventure-whether it was on his new boat, a drive in his favorite sports car or a road trip to see family and friends. Above all Doug’s love for his children and grandchildren was the greatest. Whenever he spoke or spent time with any of them, he always had an extra bounce in his step.

Doug worked for the Parks Canada Agency of the Federal Government for 31 years, the last many years as the Operations Manager for Banff, Kootenay and Yoho National Parks, Highway Service Centre. He met many interesting and wonderful people during his career with Parks Canada, many of whom he called friends. Doug will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him. A private celebration of Doug’s life will be held with his family.
