To the families of John and Enid.
We send our condolences in losing such fine people and hope
your memories will carry you through.
We enjoyed their company at many social functions, Qbana,
the walking group, meeting at the Final Approach for Thanksgiving dinners, and sometimes more recently running into them
at Rathtrevor Park walking their dog.

We hold you close to our hearts and this is such a big loss.
It was comforting to hear they died peacefully at home.

Doug and I have fond memories of John and Enid at our QBANA Social Events. One of them was our Christmas luncheon in the Bayside Conference Room  when we were following COVID 
protocols. John was sitting on his walker at the mike and reading from different sections of his book; while Enid was sitting at her group's table and giving him prompts as he proceeded with his presentation.
We feel lucky to have met the Cases and so many other wonderful people during our retirement in Oceanside.

We were saddened to hear the news of John and Enid's passing. Enid's friendship and camaraderie as we trekked the many trails in the Oceanside area, and John's storytelling in the pubs and coffee shops we visited after our walks will be greatly missed.  Our walking group 'family' will remember them fondly.  Our condolences to the family.

My deepest condolences to the children and grandchildren of Enid and John.  Although I never actually met any of you, I got to know you through stories and photos. Initially it was Enid that I met at an Elder College class on British history.  I think that we bonded over the fact that we had both lived in Grande Prairie!  Later after we (Enid, John and I ) completed classes on how to play bridge, we became part of a weekly bridge foursome.  It is with fondness that I will always remember their wonderful warmth and hospitality.  My heart goes out to you.

I even remember their kids with good memories

My condolences to all of your family. I worked as an RN in Grande Prairie and remember your parents coming to Grande Prairie I mostly worked with Dr. Case as in those days you did not call doctors by their first names out of respect for the title that they earned. One day he asked if I knew anyone that could babysit for them and I offered to do the job . My fiancé and I looked after you three children while they went out. I didn’t know your mother very well but I have many fond memories of your father. You can imagine my surprise when we visited a classmate of mine from nurse’s training only to find out that she and her husband knew the Cases. We had coffee with Kathy and Gord Grand and your parents. That was another memorable moment and I was moved when he gave me a signed copy of his book “ a Rural Surgeon”. I knew many people that he talked an about in his book. I am so sorry to hear that they passed so close together but maybe that was the plan. Clara Webb

We want you to know that the passing of John and Enid has come as a great shock to both of us.  They have been such stalwart members of our walking group until the fairly recent past.  They will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Enid's and John's passing.  They were a wonderful couple.  I knew them both through our association with QBANA in Qualicum Beach.  I have a copy of John's book which he proudly autographed for me.

John and Enid were good friends of myself and my husband  while we lived in Qualicum Beach .
We belonged to the same social groups . 
We spent many times together  during the 17 years we were living on the island 
I am heartbroken to hear of their passing 😢
