Freda Svanhvit PAULSON

Freda Paulson of Port Alberni, BC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Returning The Favour Care Home, on Monday, May 12th, 2014 aged 92.

Freda was born November 3rd, 1921 at the family farm in Glenboro, Manitoba.

Predeceased by her parents and siblings, Paulina Kjernisted, Triggvi Paulson, Eyvi Paulson, Jona Johnson and her niece Leslie Kjernisted; she is survived by her nieces and nephews – Louise (David) Johnson, Cindy (David) Sutherland, Peggy (Danny) Johnson, Judy (Sean) Johnson, Stephen (Shannon) Kjernisted, Paul Kjernisted, Julie Kjernisted, Joseph (Cecilia) Kjernisted and great-nieces and nephews.

Freda spent her working career with Woodward’s, first in Port Alberni and then in Calgary, Alberta.  Upon retirement, Freda moved back to Port Alberni where she enjoyed curling, travelling, bridge, scrabble and spending time with her family.

A Celebration of Life (Luncheon) will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 - 12:00 NOON at the Lawn Bowling Clubhouse in Port Alberni.

The family would like to thank Dr. Grant for his support, and Gina and staff of Returning The Favour Care Home for the loving care provided to Freda during the past year and a half.
