Predeceased by his wife, Ellinor, and daughter, Evelyn, “Grump” is survived by his children Fred (Janet), Lora (Ron), Tom (Daphne); grandchildren Dioni (Terry), Bradley, Karl, Rebecca (Ivan), Alan (Tim), Nadine (Jon), Elizabeth (Devon) and great-grandchildren Shawn, Bleiddwn, Mattias, Maisie and Willow.
Fred spent the war years in the Royal Canadian Airforce in England, and worked as a Professional Engineer for the CN Railroad and BC Government in various locations in Canada, but mainly in Vancouver and Victoria. After retirement he moved to Penticton and finally to The Gardens at Qualicum Beach.
His family would like to thank the staff at The Gardens for the excellent care they gave him. He was very happy there. There will be no service. Donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion in his memory.
