Gloria is survived by her husband Ron, son James (Miya and granddaughters Savannah and Bella), Marina, Nicole, Michael (Dawn and grandson Tora) along with her siblings Gail (Rick), Gordon (Leonie), Karen (Mark) and Steve (Jill).
Gloria’s work life started after secretarial school with Crown Zellerbach where she worked in the Human Relations field at Elk Falls, Hometown, Fraser Mills, Richmond Lumber and Richmond Paper Products. She was always much appreciated by the employees, managers and Union for the help and extra support she gave them.
Gloria’s Superpower was that she was a Cheerleader. She supported and encouraged everyone she met, knew, worked for and with. She was an empathetic listener and never judged or disparaged. From an early age she helped her younger an older siblings and parents, Maxine and David, navigate through their daily lives.
Towards the end of her life her greatest regrets were that she wouldn’t be there to watch and be part of her 3 grandchildren’s life as they grew up. But we know her cheerleading and presence will be. Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all those who met her. If there is a Heaven the Angels will be overjoyed to welcome her as their own.
She was ready to fly, we weren’t ready to let her go.
This coming summer Gloria’s sister Karen will be hosting a Tea at her home on Quadra Island as a Remembrance for all those who loved her.
