James A.S Duncan

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of James Duncan. James was born on September 28, 1929 in Vancouver, BC. He passed away on December 27, 2019.

James is Survived by his loving wife of 49 years Sharron Duncan, his children Ryan Duncan, Scott Duncan, Shelley Laperriere (Dean), His step son Michael Poelzer (Denise) and Bernard Poelzer (Darlene) eleven Grandchildren Kody, Valerie, Shane, Casey, Lucas, Lienza, Florianna, Felecia, thea, Talon, Tristan and three Great Grandchildren, his sister Marsha Woroniuk, his brother David Lesmister and sister in law Gay Lesmister.

He had five Nieces Terri, Shannon, Deana, Debbie, Tracey and six Nephews Mark, Kim, Lake, David, Darren, Tyler.

He is predeceased by his Father James Allan Sterling Duncan, Mother Evelyn Lesmister, Stepfather Carl Lesmister and Predeceased by his brothers Michael Lesmister by his brother Robert Duncan and his brother in law Peter Woroniuk. His nephew Craig Lesmister, Niece Bonnie Duncan, Sister in law Joyce Duncan.

He will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion (211), 7035 Island Hwy West, Bowser BC. On March 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Jim’s name Would be greatly appreciated. Many Thank you to Dr. Potter Coghan at the Comox hospital and the palliative care unit NRGH, also many thanks to the firemen at Dashwood #1 hall and the Ambulance attendants for their work and support.
