Jack is survived by his wife, Hazel, Children: Emily (Garnet) and Sidney (Susan), 5 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Jack was born in Pleasantdale Saskatchewan on the Shannon Lake Ranch. He moved to BC with his parents in the early 1940’s. He attended school in Deroche and Mission, BC, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and married Hazel in 1960. Jack and Hazel lived all over BC where he worked in many industries including logging, construction, and served as International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115 President for 16 years. Jack founded Hazelwood Construction with his son, Sid in 1992.
