With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Loni Elizabeth Atwood (Jennings), after a courageous and determined fight. She faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering hope.
Loni departed this life with the same gratitude, compassion, and quiet beauty that defined the way she lived. She leaves behind her beloved sons, Garrett and Brandon Hachey; her cherished horse, Lily; her sisters, Kim and Lindsay (Jeremy); her loving partner, Darryl; her nieces, Audrey, Hailey, and Kylie; her nephew, Jake; and her father, Alan (Denise). She also leaves behind countless friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, generosity, and genuine warmth.
Loni had an extraordinary gift for making others feel welcome. She spoke with kindness, carried herself with grace, and formed lasting friendships wherever life took her. Her gentle spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A lifelong horsewoman, Loni devoted herself to the equine world with passion and dedication. Her knowledge and wisdom were unmatched, and she was deeply respected as a coach, trainer, mentor, and horsewoman. She gave tirelessly to her students, her clients, and the horses she loved, leaving a lasting legacy within the equestrian community.
Loni is now reunited with those who went before her: her beloved mother, Deanna "Chickie"; her precious son, Hayden; her grandmothers; and, no doubt, the many animals she loved and cared for throughout her life. It is comforting to imagine her surrounded once again by those she held close in her heart.
Loni's laughter, gentle nature, and compassionate soul will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the gift of having shared in her life.
