Marvin Walter BONNAR

Marvin was born on November 3, 1934 and on January 5, 2013 passed away peacefully at Royal Jubilee Hospital with his family by his side.

Marvin was predeceased by his parents and two brothers and great grandson, Baby Caleb.  He is survived by his wife Ethel of 57 years; his children Larry (Barb), Karen (Mitch) and Rob (Jill); grandchildren Rebecca (John), Brittany (Scott), Ashlee (Dimitri), Bailey (Darrell), Mackenzie and Cameron; and great grandchildren Bethany and Isabelle.

Marvin was born near Wynyard, Saskatchewan and moved to Port Alberni in 1954.  He was employed with M&B Sproat Lake Division until his retirement in 1992.  He enjoyed camping, motor bike riding, fishing, curling, horseshoes and bean bags; some of his favourite times were camping with all the grandchildren at Macktush.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed.

A Celebration of Marvin’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 – 1:00 PM at the Curling Club, 3250 – 9th Avenue, Port Alberni.
