Peggy "Arleen" Bird

Arleen (Peggy) Bird. Dies peacefully at home Feb 17, 2026, in Parksville BC at the age of 80. Arleen is survived by her husband, Chris, two step daughters, Danielle (Phil), Andrea (Neil), Son Bud (Catherine), Daughter Carrie (Blaine), seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sister Judy and several nieces and nephews.

Arleen is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Peggy, brother Frank(Louise), Nephew, Randy, and one great grandchild.

Arleen was born is Arcola, Sask, June 24, 1945, and lived on the farm until moving to Weyburn. Arleen raised her children and worked many jobs until she landed at the Co-Op Cafeteria. Arleen came to the island to help her parents when they became ill. After a period of time she decided to stay and build a new life where she eventually met Chris.

Arleens passion was crafting and making award winning jams and jellies. Spending many years working craft fairs and markets. Arleen and Chris eventually stayed with the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market, making many lifelong friendships.

In compliance with Arleen's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send donations to the Cancer Society.
