It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Wilson at Royal Jubilee Hospital on May 14, 2022, at the age of 89.
Peter was born to Fredrick and May Wilson and raised in Liverpool, England with his sibling Don, Fred, Ralph, Howard, and Joan.
Peter travelled to Canada in 1957 and returned to England to marry Marjorie Thwaite on April 2, 1958. They then moved to Aurora, Ontario, Canada that same year. The had 2 sons, Cameron in 1964 and Brent in 1968.
In 1972, Peter and Marjorie moved the family to Auckland, New Zealand where Peter’s brothers lived. Four years later, the family moved back to Aurora, Ontario, Canada where Peter worked at Bartell Industries as a Sales Manager. They settled on Vancouver Island in 1989.
Peter loved the outdoors, boating, and people. He wished they had moved to the island sooner.
Peter’s grandchildren, Bailey, Sydney and Nicole were everything to him. He made sure they knew what the word “family” meant.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
