Stan enjoyed many enjoyable years of camping and fishing in the boat he made together with his son Ben. He just loved helping Ben with school projects (always explaining how things worked) and helping at his sports events. Most of his working life was spent in the appliance business. His big joy, music, came later in life after he moved his family from Calgary to Vancouver Island. He started a band, Timberline, which played many years at the Parksville Eagles and Legion. He said it was the best thing he'd ever done. So many friendships were formed among the band and the dancers.
He'll be deeply missed by all who knew him for his problem solving skills, his wisdom, and his knowledge of just about everything.
