Sadly the family of Violet, better known to her friends and family as Chris, announce her passing at St Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, November 27th, 2015. Chis was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Brian Stewart Ross. She is survived by her children, Chris ( Dave) Bowman of Trenton, Ontario, Steven (Michele) Ross of Campbell River, BC, David Ross and Susan Ross of Comox, BC; grandchildren, Sarah, Natasha, Andrew, Matthew, and Kylie; great grandchildren, Chyanna, Chloe, and Eric.
Chris spent most of her working years in food services with the Department of National Defense. She was a proud, lifetime member of RCL Branch #160 and served in numerous positions with their Ladies Auxiliary over the years.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in Chris’ honour at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 6th, 2015 at the RCL Branch #160. In lieu of flowers, please considering honuring her memory by making a donation in her name to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC, 300 – 828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E2.
