Amelia “Amy” Villarreal, 64, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Pasadena Texas. She was born June 23, 1954 to Pedro and Consuelo (Montemayor) Ayala in San Benito, Texas. Amelia was the oldest and only daughter of four siblings. Survived by her brothers: Pedro, Juan, and Francisco Ayala.
During Amelia’s lifetime, she gave birth to four beautiful children, Manuel Jr, Maria, Amelia (Patin), and Julian Tovar. Amelia married her husband, Victor Villarreal and was blessed with five step daughters, Flora, Yvonne, Connie, Veronica, and Candy. Victor and Amelia were in love for 30 years, during their time together they cherished their 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Victor and Amelia established a business together named Popular Embroidery Designs, selling and producing advertisement products. She was a member of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, and Sarah’s House, an organization whose mission is to provide emergency shelter and supplies to women and children in need. Amelia was a strong, hardworking woman who battled many challenges in her lifetime. She loved her family more than words can describe and would do anything for them. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family members.
The time of gathering will be held on, Wednesday between the hours of 11:00am to 9:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel 901 Main, Pasadena, 77506. A Rosary will be preformed from 7:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, and the funeral services will be Thursday 10:00am to 11:00am at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel followed by graveside service at Grand View Memorial.
