Enriqueta Villarreal

Enriqueta Villlarreal (Martinez) 84, passed peacefully in her home on Saturday August 14, 2021. Enriqueta was born on December 22, 1936 in Sabinas Hidalgo N.L., Mexico. The daughter of Enrique Martinez and Maria Martinez (Garza). In 1952, Enriqueta married Mr. Rene Villarreal and they were blessed with 7 children and later on the family grew to have 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

In the 1960's, the Villarreal family moved to Detroit, Michigan where they resided for many years before moving to Houston, Texas in 1982. Enriqueta was employed at AT&T in sales in the 1990's. She was very outgoing and jovial with a strong determination to succeed in everything she set her mind to. In addition, she had a very strong faith which made her unique to who she was. Enriqueta was an active member of her church, Iglesia del Pueblo in Pasadena, Texas where she never missed a service even after she was no longer able to attend in person, she always made sure she was present virtually. Her dedication to her faith and being the pillar of the family set the example for her children to follow. Idleness was never in Enriqueta's vocabulary. You would often find her on the go. She loved visiting with her family and friends, and often taking road trips to Mexico. When she was home you would often find her tending to her plants, and her beloved parrot and birds. You always knew where she was as you would hear her familiar whistle of whatever song was playing on the radio. Her heart was full of love not only for her immediate family, but her extended family as well. Her loving and bright personality drew everyone to her. She will be greatly missed by many and will live in the hearts of those who have had the opportunity to know her.

Enriqueta is survived by her two sons, Mario Villarreal (Stacey Villarreal) and Humberto Jose Villarreal, five daughters, Maria Salinas-Baker, Maria Dolores Villarreal Ali, Rosa Plasencia (Ricardo Plasencia), Marla Guadiana (Victor Guadiana), and Sylvia Villarreal (Alex Inoa), followed by her 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Enriqueta has one living sibling, her sister Socorro. She is preceded in death by her husband Rene Villarreal, son-in-law, Ricardo Plasencia, infant grandson, Alex Eliel Inoa, and siblings, Humberto, Armando, Enrique, Hector, and Tomasita.
