Guadalupe Ortiz

Lupe was born to Salvador and Olivia Ortiz on March 1, 1962. Lupe graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1980. He went on to graduate in 2007 from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Management, with Honors. He began his career with Hughes Tools then went to work for Dresser Industries. Lupe eventually was employed with Arco, now known as Lyondell Basell, from which he retired after 36 years of dedicated service as a Board Operator. He married his High School sweetheart Juanita Flores in May 1981. They had four children, two daughters and two sons. They were married 44 wonderful years. Lupe was an avid baseball fan and world traveler. Throughout his time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, children and grandchildren. His fondest memories are from numerous road trips along the West Coast and trips to Walt Disneyworld with the family. Later in life he and his wife traveled to Europe creating precious memories.

Lupe is survived by his mother Olivia Ortiz and three brothers. Along with his wife Juanita Ortiz; children Elena Flores; Jose Ortiz; Rolando (Samantha) Ortiz; Elizabeth Ortiz (Greg). Loving grandchildren Isabella, Reagan, Kennedy, Elijah, Monroe, Lya and Palin. He is also survived by two grand-dogs Marley and Maggie. Preceding Lupe in death are his father Salvador Ortiz and brother David Ortiz.
