Jesus Edgardo Ham, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2025, at his home at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Progreso, Yoro, Honduras, and grew up in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He moved to the United States at the age of 28, and a few years later, his wife and children joined him. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Jesus held many professions. He worked as a construction worker, carpenter, painter, mechanic, and foreman.
He and his wife were actively involved in the Family Movement at St. Juan Diego Catholic Church. Outside of work and church, Jesus found joy in reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, and watching movies at home.
He is preceded in death by his father, Miguel Angel Ham; mother, Ana Raymunda Chavez; sisters, Idalia Hernandez, Maria de Fatima Hernandez, and Maria del Carmen Chavez; and brothers, Pablo Antonio Hernandez and Jose Martin Hernandez.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Ham; and children, Wendy Freire, Rafael Ham, Kevin Ham, Ferenc Ham, and Fiona Lobo. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Ariel, Ashley, Kaithlyn, Rudy, Angelica, Norma, Rafael Jr., Nora, Kevin Jr., Madison, Nehemiah, Joshua, Isabelle, Spencer, Aiden, Elijah, Gabriel, and Delilah; and great-grandchildren: Caden, Jacob, Aubree, Edward, Nicolas, Dawson, Sophia, Emmie, Gabriel, Adilynn, Ava, Emery, Juan, Akari, Noa, Messiah, Soria, and Ryleigh. He is also survived by his sisters, Emma Martza Rosalez and Egna Suyapa Hernandez; and his brother, Miguel Angel Ham.
Although Jesus' physical presence no longer graces our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forward his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to his nurse, Amanda, and to everyone who showed care and compassion during his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend the services. A viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 901 Main St., Pasadena, TX 77506, on Monday, October 20th, 2025, in the Main Chapel. Public visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
