He is survived by his brothers Lorensi Ma

It's with a heavy and sad heart to announce the passing of our father Jose Martinez, 95, of Texas City on Friday, July 25 2025, surrounded by his children while resting peacefully.

Jose was born March 1, 1930 in Harlingen Texas.

He joined the Army in 1950 and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his mother Martina Martinez, father Roberto Martinez, sisters Eldemira Villarreal, Minerva Craig, Rafaela Martinez, brothers Arnaldo Martinez, Celso Martinez, Roberto Martinez Jr.

He is survived by his brothers and sister Lorensi and Ramiro Martinez, Carmen Sierra, sons Hector (Chris) Martinez,Jaime (Jennie) Martinez and daughter Sylvia (Robert) Lopez. Grandchildren: Jessica Rae (Celistino) Abrego,Brandon Wooten, Amanda (Jared) Sergeant, Andrea (Ruben) Reyes, Ariana Cassidy, Gabriella Lopez.

Great grandchildren: Anthony, Mark and Vivian Abrego and Alejandro, Mariana Reyes and numerous nieces and nephews to mention.

A military memorial service will follow in October, 2025.
