Mrs. Maria C. Esparza

April 25, 1942 – December 25, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria C. Esparza on December 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Maria was born on April 25, 1942, in Durango, Mexico. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, who brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her. Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felix Esparza, as well as her parents, Miguel De La Torre and Socorro Mercado, and many of her brothers and sisters.

Maria is survived by her cherished sisters, Micaela Elizondo and Patricia Villarreal, and her loving brothers, Jose Luis, Hector, and Victor Miguel De La Torre and her beloved puppy Mahja, she also leaves behind a large and extended family of nieces, nephews, and relatives, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Maria dedicated over 30 years to working with Marriott/Sodexo, where she became known for her commitment, warm spirit, and kind heart. Outside of her professional life, she had many passions, including crocheting, needlepoint, and gardening. Her love for these hobbies was only matched by her deep and unwavering faith in God, which gave her strength and joy throughout her life.

A funeral service to honor Maria’s life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel

While Maria will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
