Maxine was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and countless others whose lives were touched by her.
Maxine grew up in Texas and California, but she lived around the world with her first husband - Mexico, Ecuador, Egypt, Turkey, and Iran. Maxine devoted her time to raising her family and later worked as a dental assistant. Maxine eventually settled in La Porte, Texas where she and her husband Bob contributed much of their time to ministry. Maxine taught Sunday school, led small groups, and mentored young women. She was a lifelong reader and prayer warrior. Her spiritual impact was extensive. Maxine’s kind heart, sense of humor, and quick wit kept us all on our toes and we ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Bob Allen Ducksworth; her sons Jim and Jay Dillon, stepdaughters Chris Woods (Jason) and Channon Hudanich (Jon); grandchildren Joy Lindeen (Eric), Jillian Wojdyla (Mark), Beau, Katelyn, Matthew and Vivian Dillon, Jordan McCown (Colin), Lakyn Sheffield (Logan), Dalton and Bryce Hudanich; great grandchildren Laynee Rae Dillon, and Mason McCown; her twin sister, Maurine Wilson (Chuck), and brother, Wade Vaughn.
The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Maxine Fullen Ducksworth will be held on November 29, 2024, at 11 am at Fairmont Park Church, 10401 Belfast Road, LaPorte, TX. 77571; final resting place will be at Ebenezer Cemetery, Arp, Texas 75750.
