Michael Nixon, 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on April 22, 1952 in Brazos County, Texas to F. Y. Nixon and Bennie Lou Nixon. His parents precede him in death. Michael was known to be a lover of softball and a hard worker who loved his family. Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years of marriage, Janie Nixon; his daughter, Alisha Holden and her husband Danny; his stepson, Jerry Sturgeon; granddaughter, Shelby Nixon; his great granddaughter, Raelyn Harwell; his brother, Kerry Nixon; nephew, Bobby Nixon; and niece, Lauren Matney. He dedicated 44 years of service at Central Freight as a truck driver and later became an instructor. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with funeral service beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Grand View Cemetery.
