Nadine Goodwin

Mildred Nadine Goodwin, age 96 and resident of Pasadena Texas passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was born in Dyersburg TN on May 15, 1928 to Will & Modina Brown. She was married to Louis Willis Goodwin for 55 years. Nadine had a career in retail clothing for Buttries Ladies Clothing, Ray Beers Clothing, Robertson Dress Shop. All in Topeka Kansas.

She was a member of The American Legion with her husband and had a passion for reading, travel, canasta and The Lord. She was a devoted member of 40 years to First Baptist Church in Pasadena TX.

The two most important things in Nadine’s life were her love for the Lord and the love for her family. She loved each and everyone of her family members with a passion and loved family get togethers. She had a strong belief in her faith until the very end and it showed everyday. She accepted each person for who they were and where they were in life and loved and protected them fiercely, possibly even with funny advice and quick wit. Her children, grand children and great grandchildren gave her such joy and she loved hearing stories about what was happening in their lives. She was always interested in what they were doing and was proud of each and everyone, including in-laws, bonus grandchildren and bonus great grands. She loved her puppies over the years as well as all of the grand dogs. Nadine will be missed in so many ways, but we all know that the Lord was waiting for her and she went proudly, and with a smile on her face. She leaves behind many that will love her and miss her forever.

She was preceded in death by loving husband, Louis Goodwin, her sister, Doris Jones, her parents, Will & Modina Brown, her brother, C.L. Brown and daughter Shirley Goodwin.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bruce & Mae Goodwin, daughter and son-in-law, Debbie & Jeff Stott, daughter Candy Burns, son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Lisa Goodwin. Twelve loving grandchildren and twenty amazing great grandchildren.
