Ronald A. Meese

Ronald was born January 18, 1944, the son of Joseph Anton Meese and Hedwig Blandina (Schulze) Meese. He was baptised at Christ Lutheran in Houston on February 20, 1944 and confirmed at St John's Lutheran on March 30, 1958. He remained a faithful Lutheran all his life.

Ronald graduated from Austin High in Houston,Texas in 1962 and went to Lamar Tech for a year. Later he attended classes at the University of Houston.

He met his wife Nancy (Goodgion) Meese at a young adult group called Action in 1970. They were married at Zion Lutheran in Pasadena, Texas on July 10, 1971 and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 10, 2021.

Ronald was a good father to his four children and worked hard long hours to provide for his family. He drove a truck for various companies through the years. Ron loved working crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching the Astros. He would make his own score cards for every game. He also enjoyed watching college football and reading books on history. He read his bible and devotions every day. He taught a bible class at Zion Lutheran, and for a while Sunday School for the children in Third Ward in Houston while a member at Trinity Lutheran in Houston.

Ronald is survived by his wife Nancy and their four children, Jennifer (Meese) Leblanc, Glen Meese, Julie (Meese) Grider, Kevin Meese, son-in -laws Ron Leblanc, Zane Grider and daughter-in-law Julie (Hinz) Meese. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Zachary Meese, Matthew Meese, Christopher Grider, Addison Leblanc, Jacob Grider, Nathan Meese, Emily Grider, and Kate Meese and sister-in-law Carol Hanssen and various nephews, nieces, and cousins.
