Sandra,

Still in disbelief of your passing, you are in our thoughts.  My memories of you flash in my mind at times making me crack up laughing or just break down into tears.  You know we all love you so much and will miss you.  Thank you for being the best big sister I could ever ask for.  

Here are some words spoken of you at the funeral.  

In the Book of Wisdom, God's word is given to us about how onlookers observe our lives in the flesh and don't understand our spiritual struggles. Sandra wore her struggles as a badge of honor, not as a hardship. This gave her the heart of compassion and the ability to be a trustworthy confidant. A place to lay your transgressions and know there was no judgment, no criticism, no blame and pure genuine friendship. She understood and knew what "struggle" was. She tasted it, she breathed it, she lived it. But her strength, intelligence and strong will gave her the ability to identify it... and to overcome it in silence. These experiences made her so protective! She protected with a vengeance and passion! She protected what was sacred and dear to her heart...especially the people she loved. 

She was not a materialistic person. Her prized possessions were her pictures of her loved ones&pets or sentimental treasures of old preserved flowers, stored in a box that had been given to her by others. 

She was a natural born beauty. She would always get attention and admiration but would shy away from compliments. Don't get me wrong, she did know how to turn heads and use her gravitating dimples! She was so witty and charming and could hold a conversation for hours. No one was a stranger to her and she knew how to be neighborly. 

She offered the best part of herself to two other perfect strangers. She was an organ donor which allowed her to give good health to two people battling kidney failure and on dialysis. We don't know the recipients yet, but we know it was God's divine and Holy arrangement. We know this loving and selfless act is being celebrated in Heaven. 

So her family and friends want to celebrate her life, not mourn it. Yes, we will miss her so much but we know God still has amazing plans for her. We give her back and offer her to the Lord. She is going to be a Saint in our family's heart and she will be praying for those carrying the same cross she conquered here on this earth. God has blessed us all with such an awesome Daughter, Sister, Tia, Cousin, Friend & Significant Other.  Rest your beautiful soul in Heavenly peace Sandra.  Give mom a kiss for us.  We love you!

My Dear Sweet Sister, as I sit here going over & over of every moment and memory we shared,weather good or bad Struggles we both conquered,Emotional,with such Respect and Empathy for each other.Laughing, crying, encouragement,ALL THAT I WILL MISS SO MUCH!!!????
You will be in my daily thoughts NOW just as you were THEN...I DONT KNOW HOW I WILL GET THROUGH THIS SADDNESS N PAIN BUT BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY "your joy  N Love is with me, AS IS GODS HOLY SPIRIT WALKING ME THOUGH THIS PAIN.....YOU ARE TRULY MY BIG SISTER AND I WILL SPEAK YOUR NAME "SANDRA" with a  tear of sadness but with such Joy N Love. THANKFUL & PROUD that God gave me 44 yrs of your precious life.  I  WILL SMILE  AND  REMEMBER YOUR LAUGH & SMILE "AND THAT SPECIAL LOOK THAT YOU GAVE TO ME ..."WERE I KNEW WHAT YOU WERE THINKING....... KNOW YOU ARE  STILL WITH ME & IN MY HEART.

My Gorgeous friend......I've missed you & wanted to see you, talk to you, hug you for the last 17 years. Now, I will have to miss you forever.....Not a day will go by that I won't think of you. Rest in peace.

Sandra, you will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts. My Prayers and thoughts for all the Garcia Family during this tough time!

My beautiful cousin I will miss the one person I had such a unique, precious relationship with.  We could sit in a room with each other and speak absolutely no words yet empty our entire hearts and know it was felt, understood, loved, never judged, empathized with and supported.  I know you will be cheering me on where you are now and I will certainly need it because I will no longer have you here to bear my burdens or be honored to be bearing yours.  Thank you for being my strength throughout my life and honoring me by letting me be yours...I will continue to love you forever.

My thoughts and prayers to the entire Garcia family. Memories of you, Sandra, will live forever in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
