It is with sadness that we share the passing of my beloved husband who left us on May 16, 2024 at the age of 72.
Keith was born to Oralee and Mary Ann on October 15,1951 in Santa Ana, Ca. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband and friend to many fun people.
Keith fought a hard fight against Cancer. He always had a great attitude and a positive outlook on life. He passed away at home with his family around him. Having Home Health Nurses Colleen/Jenny), Hospice family, most of all Jennifer Kincaid (my sister) Samantha (daughter) by our side without them would had been unbearable.
Keith was a Heavy Equipment operator, Supervisor, Docent for the Friends of the Elephant Seals and Piedras Blancas Light Station in Cambria Ca. Ranch Manager in Parkfield Ca. He loved the valley and the people so much he started the first Adopt A Highway program when a single person was given 32 miles to manage. Nascar everything! Car, Truck, Drag Racing. He made street signs as a hobby. He played Golf (Wednesday group), Guitar (stage name Johnny NoCash), boating, fishing, bowling, taking pictures and videos, he Loved Snapchat! Being in the backyard that he helped to make a special place to relax and play Yahtzee. Later in life Keith took on a new role that he absolutely loved “grandpa”! Family, Friends and having fun is what he was about!
He is leaving behind Christine J Velarde wife, David Hayes (son), Christy and Emery (granddaughter). Samantha J Curten (daughter) and Dustin-Morgan (granddaughter) Colton (grandson), Angela Herman (daughter) Bryan, Anthony and Nicholas (grandsons), Rusty Herman (step-son) Anthony, Edgar (grandsons) Emily (granddaughter) and Braxton and Penelope (great granddaughter). Melissa McBride (daughter) Tyson, Thomas (grandsons) Brinley (granddaughter) Timothy and Kennedy. Domitilia Velarde (mother-in-Law).
We will have Keith’s celebration of life on June 29th, 2024 at Jack Ranch Cholame Road-76903 Cholame Valley Rd, Shandon, California. 11:30ish – 2:00 Lunch to be served, respond if you please!
Keith had a special soul, a calming soul and loved to talk to everyone, his loving heart will be missed for all time.
