LaVone Kay “Bonnie” James went to Heaven August 11, 2016, after complications from knee surgery. She was born in 1941 in Paso Robles. She attended grammer school and graduated from high school in Paso Robles in 1959. Most of her adult life she was employed as a retail grocery clerk retireing from Scolari’s in 2000. She always had a smile on her face and took the time to take care of her customers. She was a Barbary Coast Lady from 1997 to 2010. She also enjoyed traveling with her best friend Cappy Crespin of 60 years, and her favorite song was “Together Again,” which she sang with no abandon. Bonnie is survived by her two daughters: Anita (Darren) Kersey and Cara Blank. Grand-children: Taylor and Colton Kersey, Nick and Shelby Blank. And 3 great-grandchildren, Lily, Olivia and Elizabeth Blank . Sisters: Sharon Rose and Monica Stuckert. Nephew: Craig Rambo niece Terry (Henry) Hamm. Aunt: Lydia Burleson and numberous cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe James and Mother Anita Machado and we are sure she will be singing to them. Bonnie will be missed by all.
