Norma Linda Cuevas, 61, left us peacefully on April 15, surrounded by her children and family. A beloved mother and grandmother, Norma will always be remembered for her loving spirit, beautiful huge smile, and caring heart. She was not just a mother figure to us but also to many of those who knew and loved her.
Born on November 17, 1963, in Indio, California, she was the daughter of Jose Gonzales and Juanita Torres and beloved sister to Ofelia, Martha, Olga, Conrad, Héctor, and Junior. She was a strong courageous mother of seven wonderful children: Christina, Susan, Jesse, Sandra, José, Adam, and Oscar. Her fur babies Lucas and baby. She made the fearless and courageous decision to move her children from the state of Washington to California. That’s where her family would later on plant their roots and expand our beautiful family. Norma was blessed to have the opportunity to meet all her grandchildren. Magali, Juan, Norma, Jessie, Jose, Litza, Daniel, Izreal, Josesito, Jessica, Carlos Jr., Juan Carlos, Adelina Amaya, Evelyn, Adrian, Ezekiel and Christian. Whom also made her a great-grandmother to Xavier, Francisco, Ismael, Araina, Juliana, Nova, and Bethany. Which by the way she was always very proud to announce.
Norma lived a beautiful and adventurous life filled with love. She fought cancer with all her might and never backed down. That’s something that we will always admire her for. Her strength and hope is what kept us all strong with her until the very end. Thank you for all the beautiful memories of love and laughter. Forever in our hearts. Until we meet again.
