Dorman Dills Jr., or more affectionately known by his friends and family, “Red” of Pataskala, Ohio passed away at age 68 surrounded by his family with The Rolling Stones playing in the background on Friday, September 30th, 2022. He was born November 14th, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Patty Dills and Dorman Dills Sr. Growing up, Red split his time between Columbus, Ohio and Tucson, Arizona, two cities that will be forever changed by the memories he created there. Following his graduation from Gahanna Lincoln High in 1971, he went on to become a skilled HVAC Journeyman, held his real-estate license, and never turned down a job when someone was in need.
Red was truly a man of the people, and he would have given the shirt off his back (and likely did!) to any person in need regardless of their race, creed, or religion. Above all else, Red loved his family and friends, but close seconds were his love for music, his dogs Josie and Jed, and his need to constantly add projects to his never-ending to-do list.
Red is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years Debbie Dills; son Asa Dills (Cassidy Asebroek) and Nick Dills, who was like a son to him. He is also survived by his sisters Linda Olewnik and Barb Dills; nieces and nephews Michelle Dills, Jeff Johnson, Brian Johnson, Kelly Zelinske, Ashley Dills. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Debora Dills. The family will be holding a celebration of life party at Cock n’ Bull Saloon located 6860 Summit Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH at 11am-2pm Saturday, October 8th. All who knew and loved Red are welcome. Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with the cremation arrangements.
