Gary Dean Marks

Gary Dean Marks, 69, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016. Gary recently relocated to Pataskala, OH from Loudon, TN. He will also be fondly remembered by his family and friends in Bainbridge, OH. He retired from BWXT-Y12 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in 2013, after working for 31 years in the nuclear industry. Gary loved spending time with his family, volunteering at church and fishing. He was an active member of Pataskala United Methodist Church. Gary was a man of great faith in Jesus Christ. He was dedicated to living as God's hands and feet, touching lives and sharing his faith with everyone he met. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Marguerite (Moore) Marks, special aunt and uncle, Charles and Audrey Moore and grandparents. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cheryl (Daniels) Marks, daughters, Beth (Brian) Belair and Alicia (Chip) Smith, both of Blacklick. Gary is also survived by grandchildren Emma, Bobby, Anna, and Greta Belair and Lilla and Garret Smith. He is survived by brother, Marcy (Sherry) Marks of Zaleski, OH, and 2 nephews, Jeff (Therese) Marks of San Antonio, TX, and Jeremy (Nicole) Marks of South Bloomfield, OH, great nieces, Danielle, Sarah, Kirstin, and Kayla Marks and a great nephew, Kyle Marks.. The family will be hosting a memorial service Sunday, May 22 at 2 pm at the Pataskala United Methodist Church.
