Hugo Henry Hasz

Hugo H. Hasz, age 86 passed away at his home in Pataskala, OH on 3/7/25. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Hugo was born in Chebanse, IL, son of Hugo and Anna Hasz. After retiring from AT&T, he enjoyed making wooden Christmas ornaments for his family, riding his bicycle on the rails to trails paths in Ohio, and traveling to all 50 states.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; his daughters, Charlotte Hasz, Natalie (David) Gedde, Denese (Tim) Colin, and Karen (Gary) Cromwell; his grandchildren Claryce (Daniel) Hauersperger, Kjellen Gedde, Kendra and Carter Cromwell, Lindsey (Josh) Kirkland, Elizabeth (John) O’Neal, Tim (Ashley) Colin, and Tracy (Brandon) Isaac; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Helen (Myron) Meents and Dorothy Knake; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughters Barbara and Wanda Hasz; his brother Arnold Hasz, and sisters Gertrude Teske and Edna Yarno.

The funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 766 S High St, Columbus, OH on 3/22/25, at 2:00 pm. A time of gathering will be held in the basement of the church after the funeral service.
