

Jay Dellinger, 73, of Pickerington, Ohio left this world early Sunday morning the same way he lived his life with a large smile on his face, surrounded by family who were telling stories and laughter as they sat by his side long into the night. Jay loved people--serving his country and community beginning with service to his nation in the Army, his community in the Bexley Police Department for 28 years, as both a patrolman and a detective, his neighborhood as an HER realtor for 16 years and his family and most importantly God for the entirety of his life. His passions included telling a good story and bragging about his children and grandchildren. Jay is survived by his loving wife Kitty; his children, Kim (Mark) Leonard, Todd, Joe (Ree) Dellinger, and Drew (Caroline) Dellinger; grandsons Josh (Ashley), Luke and James Leonard, Dawson, Mason and Griffin Dellinger. Jay is in preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Edna Dellinger. Jay will be tremendously missed by all who knew him. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Richards officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus, OH. The family requests those who attend the visitation or ceremony observe current Covid protocols.
