Kenneth "Kenny" Eugene Baughn

Kenneth “Kenny” Eugene Baughn, age 72, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, surrounded by family after a long battle with COPD. He was born on July 4, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Floyd and Dorothy Baughn.

Kenny was a proud graduate of the 1971 class of Big Walnut High School. He and his brothers loved to spend time outdoors and explore nature near their childhood home in Galena and around the Hoover area. Following in his father's footsteps and two of his brothers, Kenny went on to be a machinist by trade working at various shops around central Ohio throughout his career. He loved all things motorcycles and classic Mustangs, going fishing, and listening to classic rock. Most of all Kenny loved to spend time with his family, especially during the holidays, for all birthdays, and any family gathering. He will be deeply and truly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jane Baughn; children, Deanna, David, Tara, and Rachel (Armando Jaimes) Baughn; grandchildren, Alex and Jada Smith; brother, Steve (Ruthann) Baughn; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Dick) Brown, Judi (Greg) Leibbrand, Debbie Arnold, and Sherry Arnold; many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Kenny is preceded in passing by his brothers, David and Dan Baughn, and brothers-in-law, John and Jim Arnold.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. A celebration of life for Kenny will immediately follow beginning at 12:00 pm. The family kindly asks people to come as they are, including casual attire such as jeans and their favorite fishing, motorcycle, classic car, or classic rock band shirt.
