Lawrence Larry Belden Cowles Jr.

December 18, 1930 – June 8, 2011

Larry B. Cowles, 80, of Pataskala, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, June 08, 2011. Memorial services will be 12 PM Noon on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Kauber- Sammons Funeral Home, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, OH, with Pastor James Sharrett officiating.

Mr. Cowles was born December 18, 1930 in Wellington, OH. to the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Fisher) Cowles. He retired from the Franklin County Court’s of Domestic Relations, he received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University, and his Master’s degree from Xavier University. He served his country by being a member of the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, member of the United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men’s Club, also member of the Pataskala Lion’s Club.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Cowles of Pataskala, daughter, Renee’ (Rod) Mardis of Pickerington, son, Christopher (Christine) Cowles of Kent, sister, Kaye (Joe) Kahlil of Oberlin, five grandchildren, Rachel, Shelby, Sam, Rebecca, and Christopher, one great grandson, Kai. Preceded in death by his sister, Faye Matthews.
