Dear Jim, Tim, Carol, Phyllis, Craig, and grandchildren,  Our thoughts are with you in the passing of your devoted wife, loving mother and beloved grandmother.  How we yearn to be with you to share in mourning her death while celebrating her godly life.  What a sweet, beautiful sister and kind, thoughtful aunt she was.  Bill remembers the day she came home from the hospital in Morris, IL.  She was carried on a pillow because she was so tiny (why the family called her "Dolly").  We thank our Heavenly Father for her and her gift of hospitality (especially her delicious meals and sharing of recipes). We admire her love of God's Word and her concern for others. Bill treasures the many times they discussed the Scriptures over the phone.  We'll miss her but rejoice that she is in no more pain and at rest in the presence of of our Creator and is with our loved ones who have gone before.  We look forward to being reunited with her and them when when we are called to our eternal home or when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. Mary will live in our hearts forever.  I'm wishing you and your family peace with her passing and know she is in a better place now.

We pray the Lord's peace and comfort for Jim and family.

We were saddened to hear of Mary's passing - but at the same time - happy that we know she is With The Lord - no more suffering !!  If possible - Heaven is a bit "sweeter" today - as - our memory of Mary is - "She was So sweet" !! She was a Godly woman - and a good friend !! We love her ! Mary Roden's ministry of kindness and hospitality along with her example of authentic Christianity as a woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother demonstrated that her fellowship with Jesus was fresh as His mercies were every day. My wife and I benefited so much from her life, counsel, love, and generosity. Although she will be missed, we know she is enjoying, more than we could imagine, her fellowship with her Lord Whom she loved dearly.
